Aldeburgh Music is the organisation which carries forward the legacy of the Aldeburgh Festival, founded in 1948 by Benjamin Britten, Peter Piers and Eric Crozier.  Based at the internationally-renowned performance centre at Snape Maltings, it attracts capacity audiences to hear the world’s most talented musicians during the Aldeburgh Festival in June, the Snape Proms in August, and at many other times of the year.

Set in an inspiring landscape overlooking the reedbeds beside the River Alde (see background picture), Snape is five miles nearer to us than Aldeburgh – about twenty minutes away by car.
